Impact of Lockdown
The impact of lockdown can be witnessed all over the UK, but it is especially important in relation to water safety.
The Legionella Control Association has published some information on The Impact of Lockdowns on Legionella Positivity Rates in the UK.
They said “As an industry, we know that Legionella bacteria thrive in man-made water systems and can proliferate when we allow these man-made systems to become warm and stagnate. This has been evidenced by the national lockdowns that occurred as part of the COVID-19 response by the UK government.
