Legionella Control Association  Water Hygiene Services is a member of the Legionella Control Association and The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS). Chas recently advised us that they had launched their new logo to enable us to update our literature and website. CHAS was formed by health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK and we are delighted to be in partnership with them delivering work in accordance with their guidelines. In partnership with the Association of London Government (ALG), CHAS was a key creator of the core criteria held in the Approved Code of Practice which supported the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recognised as CDM 2015) and is a founder member of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). CHAS has 900 public and private sector client organisations and 70,000 contractors registered on the CHAS database which means approved organisations can all work cohesively to ensure work carried out is done to an industry standard. We are proud to be part of this team bringing customers the very best in service. The CHAS legislation was created to achieve the following aims: • To simplify health and safety contractor assessment by standardising requirements. • To allow companies to avoid undergoing health and safety assessments for every job. • We have more than 900 public and private sector client organisations and 70,000 contractors registered on the CHAS database. Being a member of the Legionella Control Association means that we have satisfied the strict requirements to be an official member. LCA membership is often seen across the industry as increasingly important in demonstrating a commitment to high standards of service. There are a range of industry bodies that companies cane connected with.
